The capsules are made from standardized extract of the milk thistle plant, Silybum marianum, an annual or biennial herb that can grow up to 1.5 metres in height. The part collected for phytotherapeutic purposes is the fruit, which is harvested at the end of summer. Milk thistle helps maintain normal digestive system function and influences liver function and purification.
