Chuchuhuasi is a large tree native to the Amazon rainforest and can reach up to 30 meters in height. This robust tree features an extremely hard, reddish-brown bark, which is the most valued part for traditional use. Its leaves are oval, smooth, and about 30 cm long, while the flowers are small and white. The bark is the primary part used for herbal preparations.

Origin and Distribution

Chuchuhuasi is indigenous to South America, particularly Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. Indigenous Amazonian peoples have known about Chuchuhuasi and its benefits for centuries. In the 1960s, American pharmaceutical research began exploring the remarkable properties of this Amazonian tree, and today Chuchuhuasi is also imported into Europe.

Traditional Dosage
